When dressing, jewellery should always be put on last as make-up, cosmetics and perfumes can cause damage to delicate items.

TEPLA jewellery must be worn with consideration to clothing, especially knitwear to avoid snags.

Wear jewellery for appropriate tasks, avoiding wearing rings when cleaning, gardening and performing sports activities.

Keep jewellery in its original packaging in order to preserve it.

Always keep pieces apart, so that they don't rub together or tangle up.

Protect your jewellery from sharp blows, scratching, chemicals, sunlight and extreme temperatures.

COPPER AND BRASS: Both materials tend to tarnish over time. This is natural process and has been taken into account when the piece has been created. It should not be viewed as a defect.

SILVER: May be polished using cloth, unless oxidized-see bellow.

OTHER METALS AND TEXTILES: Please ask for advice specific to the piece of jewellery.

SURFACE FINISHES: Most commonly used on metal liver of sulphur (on pre 2017 jewellery. New method is in use now) which darkens silver to dark grey/black. Should not be polished as it rubs off. Maybe re-applied professionally.

Paint should not be exposed to chemicals and extreme temperatures. Clean using wet cloth.
